The DVSA Driving theory test consists of two sections: multiple choice and hazard perception. You need to pass both in order to get a provisional UK driving license. The number of questions or hazard clips that you are asked will depend on the type of vehicle you want to drive.

Can I practice test questions by topic?

You absolutely can! Each of our test types (Car, Motorcycle, etc) gives you the option to choose from Quick quiz and Full mock test. You can then choose to practice questions by topic. When you select practice questions by topic, a list of all topics is displayed. Click to select the topic you want to study and you'll see a sub-list displaying Quick test, Mock test or Answer questions on that particular topic.

At what age can I apply for my provisional driving licence in the UK?

The DVSA allows you to apply for a provisional driving licence when you're 15 years and 9 months old. You can start driving a car when you're 17, or a moped when you're 16.
